KNIT is a online application and platform built for NGO’s to use for their day to day needs for managing their operations. There is no upfront requirement for the NGO’s to start using KNIT. As long as they can basically use a computer for simple tasks such as browsing the internet or typing, they can use KNIT effectively. The model KNIT follows is to assign a volunteer to assist interested NGO’s to get on KNIT and get them trained and self suffecient to use KNIT on their own on a day to day basis. We are always on the lookout for NGO’s who will be interested in using KNIT and for volunteers who want to donate some minimal time to help get these NGO’s on KNIT. we have structured and well defined trainings and videos for NGO’s and volunteers to use.
KNIT is free to use for NGO’s and we hope ths will serve as a way for NGO’s to take advantage of the power of information technology and the internet to help them on in their day to day operations and also network with other NGO’s to share useful information with each other.
